Your Prompt:
During Mr. Peter's speech at his induction, he discussed the importance of creativity in education. Often times we are asked to collaborate on creative pursuits. At times, the results can be magical. At others, they can be...

Using the photo and the season as inspiration, write a story about the "..."
Your piece must include some form of the word "creativity": creativity, created, create(s), or creating.
-Word Count: 110 - 130 words (no more, no less)

Expectations:
-Remember that you are writing for the King's Academy community. Please be respectful of that community.
-Respect the word count
-Your work should have a title--this is not part of your word count.
-Include your full name and word count at the end of your submission.
-Have fun with this challenge.

8:30 A.M. Sunday, October 20th.

Something Peculiar
There it was. That peculiar knowing smile that arose on his face every time. She was drowning in suffocation. Her legs banging against the rim of the tub, but there was no escape. Her own hands were enclosing around her neck. The hands were executing his orders. There was no going back. The blackness from her pupils was creating a virus which contaminated her entire body and spread out creating darkness in her frigid soul that was no longer alive and breathing, but white and floating on the surface of the water. After enjoyably watching her die, he hovered over her body removing all the hands that were asphyxiating her and returning them back into his kit, for he was going to use them on yet another poor soul.

“At other times the results are fascinating.”
No, that’s wrong. That’s only the teacher’s rating,
And I will be elaborating.

The results are really complicated
And because of that, we have never elevated

We always try to work hand by hand
But one of us always ends up at the others command

We always try to make the teacher’s vision come to life
But we are too young to see the afterlife!

We always try to create something that we are proud of
At times we succeed.
But, at other times, we recede.

We always try to submit high quality work
However, we end up disappearing into the murk

At the end of the day, we didn’t fail
And we live to tell our tail.

Maculate Conception

The three Goddesses danced around the pedestal. Cloaks draped over their lanky figures; hoods hung over their ominous eyes. The Vessel screamed with all her might. Her eyes raised to the dark Mabon sky. Her sweat began to dry with the crisp autumnal wind. The Goddesses began dancing intensely as the birth neared. The figure on the shrine grinned as her screams grew louder and louder.
“Sister, she is coming,” one said.
“But it’s too early,” said another.
The screams grew louder and louder until they could no longer be heard. They all rushed to the infant and wrapped it in their wicked hands.
The pagan beauty opened her mouth with a single sliver of life.
“You’ve created a monster.”
They all cackled.

Impossible
He always does his best and tries to create what was never created before. But what if it became impossible? What if he couldn’t find a way to do something magical? All that stress that comes on his mind is like hands preventing him from the chance to live and make his life simple. He is always asked to be creative, but the hands are pulling away the creativity making him unable to think. Everyone tries to be different. How is trying to be creative like everyone makes him different? Sometimes, the stress he puts on himself isn’t necessary. Sometimes, it’s better if he takes the simpler way, especially when his brain is full of thoughts on top of each other, covering the creativity and giving him nothing but worries.

Creativity

Creativity, the place where your mind can be free, and your heart takes the place of your brain. It is where you feel your passion burst onto the thing which you are doing. You feel freedom, you fell joy. It connects everything which you have learnt and joins them all together. It can be messy it can be clean depending on what you it to be and only what you want it to be. You are in charge of it not the teacher not mum nor dad, you are the boss when it comes to this. It is where you think out of the box or even better do something with the box. Trust your heart on this one. Live life to the fullest.

The Extraordinary Sensation

Something extraordinary, yet we don’t focus on the journey we went through, we only ‎focus on the result. That extraordinary sensation you experience when you see all your hard work, ‎all your sleepless nights forming that result. But it all goes away in vain if the result isn’t what you ‎wanted. That sensation disappears at the sight of failure. Then there is the hands, the hands that you ‎either consider them holding you back and are returning you back to the starting point, or you could ‎use them to push yourself forward, toward the finish line, toward you goal. You are the sculptor of ‎your destiny.‎

I can hear my repeating alarm as it starts fading in louder into my ears, waiting for it to be turned off. I slowly open my eyes to see the light from outside penetrating in through my window blinds hinting to me that it is now morning. I stretch my arms and legs as much as I can, feeling as if I am the rope in the game of tug-of-war and two teams are pulling me from opposite sides. I can feel the adrenaline rushing in my body of what I am going to do today- something and somewhere where creativity is not a competition, yet its where you can share your identity and soul, here at Kings Academy.

The children ran carelessly into ravine, but they didn't realized the trap they entered. Laughs started to fade away, there small bodies started to shiver. Some of them thought of coming back ,but Tom Skeleton convinced them to stay. Something sprinted through the ravine just like a shadow. The small kids holding they're buckets, there hands shivered as the candy fell. Tom Skeleton had a brave soul he as he was talking something held him and ran Tom screamed then POOF he disappeared the other kids ran to Pipkin.

Mohammed Was Scared

Once upon a time, in a dark place there was a guy Mohammad. He got scared so fast. Rajai came from the other side and scared him. He jumped as if there was a car that bumped into him. Late on, all Mohammed’s friends decided that they want to find a solution for this problem that their friend faces. That was because that if you get scared you get punched twice on your shoulder. So, they started training him daily in the dorm. It was winter so they also decided to let him go put in the rain to be more stable and stronger. Finally, Mohammed stopped being scared and he was the one that started scaring his friends and punching them instead of getting punched.

This was a great start. A number of you mused on creativity and collaboration, which is a good start, but I'd like to see more story in your responses. With that said, here are the results:

I liked that you addressed the prompt as a poem, and you hit at some of the stressful sides of the collaborative process.

The visuals on this, particularly the feet banging on the tub's edge, gave me a chill. Excellent work.

Chaos
Chaos, hearing everyone scream and shout while your mouth is sealed with double-sided tape. They try listening to you but all they can hear is your heartbeat. Bounded. Silent yet spoken of. The thin-walled sac, your enemy, surrounds you. You want out. Freedom. You need it, you want it. 9 months of suffering, no speaking, no voice, only growth. You grow and grow until you reach your moment. Light radiating, bright in fact too bright. Your only way out. You climb out ready, your ears explode with voices. You see, feel, hear, you enter the chaos. Chaos something you’ve always wanted, your one and only desire. But in fact, you hate it, you want out. Nothing you expected. Just chaos plain chaos. The reality we don’t need.

Not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, neutral. You feel confused. There are many things to choose from. Why though? Why would I choose that glass and not the other. You making decisions is magical. You look around and they are making decisions too. They too feel it. All of you have enough power to be creative, so make a decision because you can. A simple hello can be creative. So can your writing, your diet, your actions. You feel like your stuck, and that is creative. You are made up of scattered pieces which make up your creativity. You are magical. You are indeed, all over.

Chaos:
Your stuck in an elevator. 5 people. No space. Screams of 1. Cries of 2. Snaps of 3. Panics of 4. Faints of 5. You are the 6th. Stuck in the middle of all that chaos, you stand there staring into the light of the distance. Shatters and Cracks. Restricted. In all forms. All are like flames. Should you help yourself or help them? How bad is it? If hand in hand, leaving the elevator would be as easy as spreading Pb&J. As easy as turning cake batter , made of a variety of ingredients, bitter and slimey, to a delicious cake. All combined together. We leave as one. Maybe chaos wasn’t as bad.
