The mysterious and unexplored deep ocean. The vast unknown where voices are silent. Where weight is nothing but a memory; whilst darkness is a reality. Down in the depths discovered marine life is merely a particle, and the unknown sea creatures await your presence. The contrast between the surface and the depths of the ocean is surreal. It takes nothing more than a split second to descend underwater. Oxygen is nonexistent; and chances of death are limitless. Your blood freezes like a beverage, and you're incapable of movement. Sounds are silenced; although your eyes speak for themselves. You are surrounded by monsters found only in your dreams. You are their undiscovered species, and you've been analyzed. Your screams are left unheard, and your blood is left lingering on the surface.

"I love scuba diving, it is really fun", I said the first time I tried squba diving.
Now I hate it.
I am now paralyzed, deaf, and confused (except for brief periods in which I am writing this).

This happened because I became too excited as a youngster and didn’t pay attention to my oxygen tank and ended up getting nitrogen bubbles in my lungs because I went up too fast as a result of me needing oxygen. The nitrogen went up to my brain, making me act drunk sometimes. However, I still didn’t really learn from my previous mistake and went to deep which caused me to become deaf.

Kids, do what you love, but do it with caution. Don’t become overexcited.

Allure
The diver looked around, astonished by the mysterious beauty surrounding him. He stared at the vast blue that extended far beyond he could ever imagine. An entirely different world than his own, full of color. He watched shoals of fish swim by, each shoal utterly unique. He pondered the idea of being one of them, and what it would be like to call the ocean depths his home. But no, he thought, maybe it isn’t so glamorous. A second of sheer panic and anxiety thrilled his body as he frantically looked around. Beyond all the enigmatic splendor, there was an anonymity. Who knew what lie there, in the deep darkness? The idea frightened him, so he quickly cleared his mind, and returned to admiring the pretty view.

The Deceiving Trap
The expression displayed on the young woman’s face showed true horror. It was as if she had seen a ghost. To the shore she tried to swim, but she couldn’t escape the bloodshot eyes of the monster. The enormous abnormality navigated its body faster towards the girl. In her brain, she imagined her demise. The scream would barely form, and she would be snatched by the hungry creature’s jaws. It would tear apart her limbs before chewing the leftover body parts bit by bit. She was trapped. This moment showed her what true helplessness was. Thunder screamed vigorously and she was left to see what fate had planned for her.

Mariana, Oh Mariana

Five percent of water on earth was discovered, that’s a small number, puny. Whenever someone thinks of the wonders of water, we think of surfing, water skiing, scuba diving, etc. Thinking about danger was much different. We know next to nothing, and any of our most savage dreams could be true. Well, I went big and went for dear Mariana, The Mariana Trench. I am alive today, having ventured one kilometer down into the darkness, but the ground sure feels superior. It took me years, studying what we know, planning, building, restarting. It was just me in my lab. My work being done, I grabbed my dog, hopped into the water, down and down I went. I went until the ship was half the size, being crushed by the water pressure. And kids, stay on your feet.

I emerge out of the deep blue, wet hair dripping down my back, as a slight shiver takes over my body I lay on the glossy boat deck. The wood absorbs my dripping figure, leaving an imprint. My feet dangled down the sides into what is only known as a mystery. What strikes me is the thrill of the unknown, a single toe dipped into the ocean could mean a part of me belongs to something else. As I allowed myself to engage with the calls of the sea, I was lured into the water. I was dragged in deeper, pushed out farther, but I have yet to panic. The once soothing calls I heard soon turned into yells that were silenced by the vast ocean. Everything turned black.

The ocean. Nobody knows its end. Its roaring waves banging on the shore, spitting out all the harmful things that it holds in the depths of its tummy. It salty taste is so dry but yet wet.It has a pleasant fresh scent that causes delight in the air to all the surfers living in their tiny huts on a tiny island far away. Walk by it and you feel at peace, you feel at rest. Free, wild and beautiful is what every man wants to be. They want to be just like the sea. Its five brothers are always together but never mix and bond. The ocean is a beautiful place and its waters will never be uncovered. Living by the sea is definitely the place you want to be.

Congratulations to Tala. A note from this week's judge, Taher:

I really liked your description and creativity with the prompt. Instead of just describing how beautiful or how scary the sea is you showed how it can be both and the contrast between shallow and deep waters. Congratulations
