“Hey, you in the market for a vacuum cleaner governor.”
“Indeed I am, what models you offer.”
“There are four various, intricate systems. But Mister, Sorry to bother you, but they are in the van. And I am afraid my frigid, weary back isn’t capable of carrying that many tons down the journey of your driveway, to your doorstop. How about you visit my van sir, a much better solution indeed. You could simply compare all the models in my van. Yes, my van.”
“ No, of course not, I insist on assisting you. We can carry them together into my house. Then you could show me all the models in my calm, quiet home.
“Sir I wouldn’t want to trouble you. And besides, I would never let a customer help me with my duty sir.“
After the two continued politely arguing, a slender knife slipped out of the salesman’s pocket.
They shared a look, then a smirk, and parted ways.

Friend or Foe

Two men stand face to face, scowling, nostrils flared. They stare each other down, an attempt to see past other man’s fabricated claims. The glaring intensifies, but as the saying goes, the closer you look, the less you see. And that is true, for they share a common identity, hidden beneath their schemes. They go back and forth for a while, saying things like, “a wonderful specimen if you’d just give it a try,” and “yes, but wouldn’t it be better if you’d just come inside?” The salesman reaches for the gun hidden in the crocs on display. Likewise, the client begins to inch towards his knife behind the door. In the distance, sirens begin to wail. They lock eyes. “Wakanda forever!” they yell, making a dash for the alleyways.

Sugar Sweet

The two locked eyes, not sure who would make the first move. A death stare that would only end one way.
Can I interest you in some candy bars?
The unshaven disheveled man rolled his eyes lazily and got ready to close his door. The salesmen shoved his arms into the frame, he wouldn't give up easily.
Oh please! I insist you let me present my different flavors. You'll adore them!
His toothy smile unsettling and a little too wide.
All right, I guess I could listen for a bit. Come on in.
Both showing off their phony smile, the salesman slowly proceeded into the man's house. Groaning loudly, the door shut behind him.
Which flavor may it be? Oh, I love surprises!

The Mimicry of Death
The wooden door creaked as I attempted to gently open it. There was no one inside. And after what felt like an hour wait, I decided to enter. I walked down the dark tight corridor that dominated most of the establishment. Doors and frames, I passed, the corridor was never ending. I walked and walked until a distorted image of myself was all I could see. A mirror.
But something felt odd about this mirror, what lie beyond it was unlike what it existed in front of it. The auburn walls of the hallway looked purplish in the mirror. Even my own reflections looked funny. It was quite humorous actually, there I was, a serial killer disguised as a door-to-door salesman, looking like a serial killer who kills door-to-door salesmen.

Congratulations to this week's winner, Kenzy.
A few words from the judge:

Kenzy, you did a really good job using telegraphic sentences. I really like how you took on a different idea and moved the events inside the house instead of outside.
Lina, even though you wanted to remove the "Wakanda forever" part, I thought that it was a nice edition.
Faris, I loved how you didn't put quotation marks around the dialogue. It was a nice stylistic choice.
Zade, I really liked the narrative in only dialogue and the surprising ending.
