You are a 911 operator. You get a call from someone saying: "I'm about to do something bad and I can't stop myself."

Tears were streaming down his face, one hand tightly clutched around his pistol, the other on the telephone. His mind far, far away, distant from Earth remembering what happened 20 years ago. “I am about to do something, and I can’t stop myself.” These were his last words before the sound of 3 loud gunshots, “BANG, BANG, BANG!” Rattled and bounced out of the telephone. I was smote with fear, but also surprised. I recognized that voice. It was the same voice that called 20 years ago, the voice of little Jason the day his father was shot dead in front of his own eyes. Ever since then little Jason swore to take revenge, his rage boiling and bubbling in his heart, and today seems like the turning of tables. The same murderer had just left his prison.

Karim, I loved the way you made the prompt a flashback. I also loved your word choice, it gave your writing a very nice addition.

"you don't get it. I’m a dead man anyway. might as well make it quick."
"who's after you, sir. we can stop them. I’m sending a unit down to you just hang on. don’t do this."
"too late... I did it."
“what? But you’re still talking… what is happening?!”
“what do you mean "I’m still talking"?... You thought I was gonna kill myself?”
“yeah…What is the bad thing?”
“I really wanted a puppy and my wife said no. I just adopted it. Dispatch is coming…right?”
“sir, dispatch can’t help you. Hell hath no fury like a pissed of wife… I’m sorry. Goodbye.”
“NO! COME BACK!”
