Welcome to the Koç School's micro-Flash Fiction Competition. This is a weekly competition that allows you to try your words out on the community. For now we will run this as a ninth grade competition, but we may revisit that at some point.
The new prompt will be released every Wednesday at 20:00. Submissions are due by 10:00 P.M the following Monday. The winner will be notified on Tuesday morning by email and will create the following week's prompt by Wednesday at 08:00. The winner judges the following week's competition. Your Prompt: You wake up one morning and some part of you is no longer you. All that identity exploration might come in handy after all. -Word Count: 110 - 130 words (no more, no less) Expectations: -Remember that you are writing for the Koç School's community. Please be respectful of that community. -Respect the word count -Your work should have a title--this is not part of your word count. -Include your full name and word count at the end of your submission. -Have fun with this challenge. Deadline: 22:00 P.M. Monday, October 23rd. Post your story in the comments below by clicking the "Comments" button in the lower left corner. Results will be posted on Tuesdays. Good luck and have fun! Photo Credit: https://www.scotsmanguide.com/residential/solve-the-identity-puzzle/

Congratulations to Omer for winning this week's competition. I enjoyed this. Your command of sentence was strong, and you managed to efficiently create a strong sense of place. We also get to see what a person might be if his or her name were swapped with the coldness of a number.
