I looked out from behind the tinted glass. The fort was half a mile away from the border, but from the third story window, I saw everything going on at the edge of the empire. Fifty rows of armor-clad soldiers lined the hillside. A shield occasionally flashed in the bright sun.

Hi Tia, you are the winner of this week. I liked your peace of writing. I think that you explained what is happening in a good way. I felt that it was a real scene. I liked also how you made the ending of the story open -not clear - that the reader can imagine on his own style what might happen on the future.
