The Breaking Point of Machines

It always shattered my world when I heard that beeping sound , it signaled the end of my work, it sounded like a bird's tone annoyingly beautiful. That sound would always haunt me, following me through eternity mocking me for my uselessness. Maybe on that specific day I was tired or maybe I just couldn't hear that beeping sound anymore, but it sent me through the edge dangling me over the pit and threatening to let go. That feeling of uselessness that seemed to be there every hour of the day, I couldn take it anymore not when I was confined to this space trapped in a literal box. Not when I couldn't see anything passed that door, and not when my mind raced with thoughts of what the outside world could be like.

Trapped.
I was always trapped in my home, I never saw the outside world.
I never got to take a break, leave my home, or see the outside world. All that I could do was sleep, eat, and work.
I always felt like a bird trapped in a cage, my biggest dream was to be wild and free. I wish I can find a way to get out of my home and run away as far as my legs can go, but unfortunately, I was constantly being spied on. If I ever tried to go away, I would be caught almost every time.
I really hope that one day I will get the chance to break the walls and run away.

I Swear I'm going to hurl my Consciousness Across the Room
by Mar Pizarro
I curse the grave of whoever invented fluorescent light(I hope they're in a grave). The light hanging from my sealing is currently pulling at my brain from opposite directions and blurring the letters Infront of me. There is something especially demoralizing about studying for a test. You sit hunched over a textbook trying to understand the crucial gaps of content that slipped you in class. You never know if all the extra effort is pointless, or if you are somehow missing half of the test. You have no choice but to commit wholeheartedly to the topic your studying. You have to pull off the mental calculation to make you believe that the square root of pi is greater than the pulsing between your eyebrows. Maybe the straw that broke the camels back was that the belief that the straw was worth more than the camel.
