Title: Spirit Animal

I looked down at my hands, admiring the piece of jewelry.
Then, I hung it around my neck, spider webs visibly hung just as loosely, as I walked through the dark walls of the dusty attic.
My hand reached the doorknob, yet quickly retorted as I felt electricity course through me, as if my body was self-combusting.
“You have picked up the solemn gem. Bare yourself for your eventual transformation, as you inevitably morph into the creature you were meant to be,” A dreamy, wistful voice informed, in a tone almost sultry.
What is this? What did I get myself into this time?
I scarcely had more time to ponder before I felt something growing out of my behind. A lion, maybe? Brave- strong as fire!
Though, I looked down and found hooves. A horse- a centaur! Graceful- fast as the wind!
I grew and grew, till suddenly…
“Hee-haw!”
A bray suddenly erupted from my mouth…
A donkey?

Hello Yara

This was a truly amazing piece, I love the precise words that you have used, I love the short story but something I recommend is staying within the word count,

You are the winner this week

The Ethics of Magic 101
"Hello everyone, I would like to start this class by saying that magic is like a hoarse. It can transport us, it can build for us, we can use it for sport and we can use it as a means of force, but magic itself will always just be a living breathing thing. It does not need a master, and it was hear before we were and will be hear after. Therefore the effects and consequences of magic rely solely on its user, the ethics of magic begin and end like most things in this world, with humanity."
(professor Shirley, tape recoding of introduction to coarse).
